## IRCC Translation for Canadian Immigration

- IRCC translation is a certified translation prepared to the rules of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the federal immigration department. For each document that is not in English or French, IRCC asks for the translation, an affidavit from the translator and a certified copy of the original.

## Translation and affidavit in a single order

- English translation with the translator's affidavit, sworn before a notary public
- For permanent residence, Express Entry, study and work permits, visitor visas and citizenship
- Fast delivery as a PDF, ready to upload to your IRCC account

## IRCC translation requirements

- IRCC accepts a translation done by a certified translator, meaning a member in good standing of a professional translation association in Canada or abroad, with a stamp that shows the membership number. Any other translator must swear an affidavit that the translation is accurate. Outside Canada, the affidavit is taken by a notary public or equivalent.
- IRCC does not approve or list translation companies: it accepts the translation that follows these rules. Our IRCC translations include the translator's affidavit, sworn before a Florida notary public.

## Who cannot translate your documents

- You cannot translate your own documents, and neither can a family member: parents, children, spouse or partner, siblings, grandparents, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and first cousins. The person who takes the affidavit cannot be a family member either.

## Documents we translate for IRCC

- Birth and marriage certificates, police certificates, diplomas and academic transcripts for Express Entry, passports and identity documents, proof of funds and employment letters. For other uses in Canada, see our certified translation for Canada.

## How to order your IRCC translation

- Upload your documents, see the price and the deadline right away and pay online. You receive the translation with the certificate and the affidavit by email, as a PDF. The certified copy of the original is part of your application, and IRCC explains in its instructions who can certify it.

- Affidavit included, no separate notary appointment
- Same deadlines as our certified translation in the United States
- Printed copy by mail on request

## What your IRCC translation package includes

- Everything IRCC asks from the translator comes in the same PDF. The certified copy of the original is the part you provide, following the instructions of your application.

- The complete English translation, including stamps, seals and handwritten notes
- The certificate of accuracy signed by the translator
- The translator's affidavit, sworn before a Florida notary public, with the notary's seal
- One PDF per document, ready to upload to your IRCC account
