## Translation Services in Ireland

- Translation services in Ireland for official use: we translate your documents into English, or from English into more than 30 languages, and certify each translation with a signed statement of accuracy, the date, the translator’s name and contact details, which is what Irish immigration and the Irish embassies ask for.

## Order online, receive your translation by email

- Certified translation with a signed statement of accuracy, for immigration, residence and marriage
- Human translation, checked by a second translator
- Sent as a PDF by email, with a printed copy by post on request

## Certified translation for Irish immigration: what is asked for

- When a document is not in English or Irish, Immigration Service Delivery (ISD), part of the Department of Justice, and the Irish embassies ask for a full translation of it. The translation must carry a statement from the translator that it is an accurate translation of the original, the date, and the translator’s full name, signature and contact details.
- Every certified translation we deliver for Ireland includes all of this, and works for applications made in Ireland: your registration at Burgh Quay, residence as the family member of an EU citizen, the marriage notification and citizenship. One case asks for more: for a visa applied for from outside Ireland, a translation made outside the EEA and Switzerland must also carry an apostille from the country where it was made. Tell us if that is your case when you order. You cannot translate your own documents.

## Do you need a sworn translator or a translator in Ireland?

- No. Ireland has no sworn translators appointed by the State and no official register of translators, and the rules do not ask for a translator based in Ireland. If another organisation asks you for a notarised or apostilled translation, tell us when you order and we will confirm what we can provide.

## Documents we translate for use in Ireland

- Birth, marriage and death certificates, divorce decrees, police certificates, degree certificates and academic transcripts, passports, driving licences, bank statements and payslips, in more than 30 languages. For Immigration Service Delivery, the Civil Registration Service, the courts, universities, employers, banks and solicitors. You will find the prices on our pricing page, and the exact amount in the instant quote.

## Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford

- The same rules apply across the country. Since 2025, the first immigration registration for every county is done by ISD at Burgh Quay, in Dublin, and renewals are online. Certificates are issued through the HSE Civil Registration Service, with the General Register Office in Roscommon. We translate documents from abroad for use anywhere in Ireland, and Irish documents for use abroad, including the sworn translation (tradução juramentada) required in Brazil.
