## Translation Services in the UK

- Translation services in the UK for official use: we translate your documents into English, or from English into more than 30 languages, and certify each translation with a signed statement of accuracy, the date and the translator’s credentials, which is what the Home Office asks for.

## Order online, receive your translation by email

- Certified translation with the translator’s credentials, for Home Office applications
- Human translation, checked by a second translator
- Sent as a PDF by email, with a printed copy by post on request

## Certified translation for the Home Office: what the rules ask for

- When a document is not in English or Welsh, the UK Immigration Rules ask for the original and a full translation that the Home Office can verify independently. The translation must be dated and include confirmation that it is an accurate translation of the original, the full name and signature of the translator or of an authorised official of the translation company, and their contact details. For leave to remain and indefinite leave to remain, it must also show the translator’s credentials.
- Every certified translation we deliver for the UK includes all of this, so the same translation works for applications made from abroad and from within the UK. You cannot translate your own documents, and neither can a relative.

## Do you need a notary or a translator based in the UK?

- Not for most Home Office applications. The rules do not ask for a notarised translation, a sworn translator or membership of a British association. If another organisation asks you for a notarised or legalised translation, tell us when you order and we will confirm what we can provide.

## Documents we translate for use in the UK

- Birth, marriage and death certificates, divorce decrees, police certificates, degree certificates and academic transcripts, passports, driving licences, bank statements and payslips, in more than 30 languages. For UK Visas and Immigration, HM Passport Office, the DVLA, universities, employers, solicitors and courts. You will find the prices on our pricing page, and the exact amount in the instant quote.

## England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland

- The same Home Office rules apply across the United Kingdom. What changes is who issues the documents: certificates come from the General Register Office in England and Wales, from National Records of Scotland and from the General Register Office for Northern Ireland. We translate documents from abroad for use in any of the four nations, and British documents for use abroad, including the sworn translation (tradução juramentada) required in Brazil.
