Hague apostille in Brazil
Brazil has issued apostilles since 14 August 2016, when the Hague Convention came into force there (Decreto 8.660/2016). The apostille is electronic and carries a QR code you can verify on the CNJ portal.
Who issues it
Only registries authorised by the National Council of Justice: Resolução CNJ 228/2016. No other office in Brazil can issue one.
How we file it
Digitally, through our partner registry. Because the process is electronic, the state of issue changes nothing: we cover all 27.
What gets it refused
A certificate past its acceptance window. Many Brazilian certificates are only accepted within 90 days of issue by the receiving authority.
By issuing state
All 27 states
The state does not change the process or the price: the apostille is electronic and national.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get quick answers to common questions about certified translations, validity, and turnaround times.
What is a certified translation?
A certified translation is a document translated by a qualified professional, accompanied by a signed and stamped statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is required for legal proceedings, immigration, academic enrollment, and other official processes.
Is the certified translation valid throughout the United States?
Yes, our translation is recognized and accepted across the entire United States!
What's the difference between a certified and a sworn translation?
Certified translation includes a signed statement from the translator attesting to accuracy, required by USCIS, universities, and U.S. courts. Sworn translation (tradução juramentada) is notarized by a registered translator and required for documents used in Brazil, not in the U.S. For any U.S. submission, certified translation is what you need.
Which languages do you translate to?
We work with 100+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Arabic.
Can I submit scanned documents?
Yes! Just send a legible digital copy (PDF, JPEG, Word, or PNG). We deliver the certified version physically or digitally, depending on your needs.
