Hague Apostille

Apostille services for US and Brazil

Apostille for documents issued in any US state or in Brazil, 100% online. You send the document and we handle the rest: no lines, no trips, no red tape.

Three stacked documents with the Roxo Apostille seal stamped on the top one.

By document

One page per document, because that is how people search

Each page says which version of the document is accepted, what the issuing authority requires, and what usually gets it rejected.

Birth certificate

Certified copy from Vital Records. A notarized photocopy is normally refused.

Marriage certificate

For marriage abroad, dual citizenship and name changes.

Diploma or transcript

Usually needs the registrar's signature notarized first.

Power of attorney

Must be signed before a notary before the state can apostille it.

Corporate document

Articles, certificates of good standing, board resolutions.

Death certificate

For estates and pensions abroad.

Divorce decree

Certified by the clerk of court before apostille.

Criminal record

State-level only. Federal FBI checks are not offered yet.

By issuing state

Where the document was issued decides who apostilles it

A document is apostilled by the authority of the place that issued it, never by the place where you live. This is the first thing we check.

United States: all 50 states and DC

Every US state apostilles its own documents through its Secretary of State. Florida we file ourselves, in Tallahassee; everywhere else runs through our processing network.

Filed by us, in person

Florida

Filed with the Florida Department of State in Tallahassee. Apostille and certified translation in the same order.

Every other state

Send the scan and we check the issuing state's requirements before anything is filed. Each one accepts a different version of the same document.

A Florida apostille is valid in every Hague country

The apostille is issued once and accepted by all 120+ member states. The destination changes the translation and what the receiving authority asks for, not the apostille itself.

Sending it somewhere outside the Hague Convention? That route is consular legalization, which we do not handle. We will say so instead of selling you an apostille that will not be accepted.

Help Center

The questions people actually ask

One page per question, answered in the first two lines.

What is an apostille?

A certificate that authenticates the origin of a public document: the signature and seal, not the content.

Do I need an apostille for USCIS?

No. USCIS requires a certified translation, not an apostille. We will tell you so before you pay.

Which documents can be apostilled?

Public documents. A notarized photocopy of a vital record usually cannot.

How long does it take?

Our processing time and the authority's are two different clocks. We publish both separately.

Apostille or notarization?

Notarization confirms the signature; only the state apostilles. Many documents need both, in that order.

How do I verify an apostille?

Brazilian electronic apostilles carry a QR code checked on the CNJ portal.

Frequently asked questions about document translation services
What is a certified translation?

A certified translation is a document translated by a qualified professional, accompanied by a signed and stamped statement attesting to its accuracy and completeness. It is required for legal proceedings, immigration, academic enrollment, and other official processes.

Is the certified translation valid throughout the United States?

Yes, our translation is recognized and accepted across the entire United States!

What's the difference between a certified and a sworn translation?

Certified translation includes a signed statement from the translator attesting to accuracy, required by USCIS, universities, and U.S. courts. Sworn translation (tradução juramentada) is notarized by a registered translator and required for documents used in Brazil, not in the U.S. For any U.S. submission, certified translation is what you need.

Which languages do you translate to?

We work with 100+ languages, including English, Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Arabic.

Can I submit scanned documents?

Yes! Just send a legible digital copy (PDF, JPEG, Word, or PNG). We deliver the certified version physically or digitally, depending on your needs.
