Roxo Translations offers Chinese translation services for documents from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, in Simplified or Traditional characters, to and from English, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Arabic. Every translation is done by a human translator, native in the target language, and reviewed by a second one, never by machine translation.
Send a photo or scan of the document, see the price and the deadline instantly, and receive the translation as a PDF. For the United States it comes certified and accepted by USCIS, with the statement of accuracy and notarization included; for Brazil it can be a sworn translation into Portuguese, valid nationwide.
Chinese is an official language in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, and it is spoken by large communities in Malaysia, Indonesia, the United States, Canada and many other countries. It has more than a billion speakers and is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. A Chinese document can be needed almost anywhere, and the destination decides the type of translation.

Chinese is written with characters, and there are two standard sets of them, while the spoken language has several varieties. A good translation into Chinese uses the characters of the place where the document will be used, and a translation from Chinese keeps names, dates and seals exactly as in the original.
Chinese is one of the oldest written languages still in use. Its oldest texts are the oracle bone inscriptions of the Shang dynasty, carved more than 3,000 years ago. Each character stands for a syllable with a meaning, not for a single sound, which is why the same writing could be read across regions that spoke very differently.
In 221 BC, Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of a unified China, made one script the standard for the whole empire. Over the centuries, the speech of the imperial officials became a common language, and the English word mandarin came through Portuguese, from those officials. In the 20th century, the pronunciation of Beijing became the basis of the national standard, and in the 1950s mainland China introduced Simplified characters and the pinyin alphabet.
Today Chinese has more than a billion speakers, the largest number of any language as a mother tongue, and it is official in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. It is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, and Chinese communities around the world keep it alive in Traditional and Simplified characters.

Yes. We translate documents from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, to and from English, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and Arabic, in Simplified or Traditional characters. Tell us the country where the translation will be used, and we follow its characters and the spelling of the names in the passport.
Often yes, depending on the pair and the service. For certified translation we confirm translator availability. For sworn translation into Portuguese, some pairs require a two-step route through English. We tell you the option before quoting.
By people. Every document is translated by a professional linguist and goes through double human review for accuracy, grammar, formatting and consistency before delivery.
It depends on the language pair, because a sworn translation requires a public translator registered for that language. For pairs without one, we can offer a two-step route: certified translation into English, then sworn translation from English into Portuguese. We confirm before quoting.
Birth, marriage and death certificates, divorce decrees, diplomas and transcripts, driver's licenses, passports and IDs, criminal records, bank and financial statements, medical and vaccination records, contracts, affidavits and court documents, among others. Send a photo and we confirm.
The translation reproduces names exactly as they appear in the original document. If we made a typo, we fix it at no cost. If the original itself has a different spelling, tell us before we start and we will guide you on how to handle it.
