Roxo Translations offers Russian translation services for documents from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the other countries where Russian is used, including records issued in the Soviet Union, to and from English, Portuguese, Spanish and other languages. Every translation is done by a human translator, native in the target language, and reviewed by a second one, never by machine translation.
Send a photo or scan of the document, see the price and the deadline instantly, and receive the translation as a PDF. For the United States it comes certified and accepted by USCIS, with notarization included; for Brazil it can be a sworn translation into Portuguese, valid nationwide.
Russian is the official language of Russia and Belarus, has official status in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and is still widely used in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Moldova and the Baltic states. It has more than 140 million native speakers, is the most spoken Slavic language and is one of the six official languages of the United Nations. Large Russian-speaking communities live in Israel, Germany and the United States. The destination decides the type of translation.

Russian is one language from Moscow to Almaty, but its documents follow rules of their own: another alphabet, names in three parts and records issued by a country that no longer exists. A good translation handles each of them and keeps every detail of the original.
Russian is an East Slavic language, like Ukrainian and Belarusian, and the three descend from the Old East Slavic spoken in Kievan Rus. Writing came with Christianity, adopted in 988, in the Cyrillic alphabet, created in the First Bulgarian Empire at the end of the 9th century and named after Saint Cyril, who with his brother Methodius had made the first alphabet for the Slavs. The Ostromir Gospels, from 1056 and 1057, are one of the oldest dated books of the region, and since 1951 archaeologists in Novgorod have found hundreds of everyday letters written on birch bark.
In 1708, Peter the Great introduced a simpler civil script for printed books, close to the letters used today. In the early 19th century, Alexander Pushkin shaped the modern literary language, and the spelling reform of 1918 removed letters such as ѣ, і and ѳ and set the spelling still in use.
In the Soviet Union, Russian was the common language of the 15 republics, so millions of records from 1922 to 1991 were written in it. After 1991 many families emigrated, above all to Israel, Germany and the United States. Today Russian has more than 140 million native speakers, and those families still need their records translated for immigration, study and work.

Yes. We translate documents from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the other countries where Russian is used, including records issued in the Soviet Union, to and from English, Portuguese, Spanish and other languages. Names follow the spelling of the international passport, and the translation reproduces every stamp, seal and note of the original.
The translation reproduces names exactly as they appear in the original document. If we made a typo, we fix it at no cost. If the original itself has a different spelling, tell us before we start and we will guide you on how to handle it.
By people. Every document is translated by a professional linguist and goes through double human review for accuracy, grammar, formatting and consistency before delivery.
It depends on the language pair, because a sworn translation requires a public translator registered for that language. For pairs without one, we can offer a two-step route: certified translation into English, then sworn translation from English into Portuguese. We confirm before quoting.
Birth, marriage and death certificates, divorce decrees, diplomas and transcripts, driver's licenses, passports and IDs, criminal records, bank and financial statements, medical and vaccination records, contracts, affidavits and court documents, among others. Send a photo and we confirm.
Often yes, depending on the pair and the service. For certified translation we confirm translator availability. For sworn translation into Portuguese, some pairs require a two-step route through English. We tell you the option before quoting.
