How we translate a bank statement from Spanish
A statement is translated line by line: the bank, the branch, the account holder, the account number or CLABE, the period, the opening and closing balances and each deposit, withdrawal, transfer and fee, with its date and description. The layout follows the original, so the person who receives it can compare the two side by side.
Amounts stay exactly as issued, in pesos, euros or any other currency, and in the number format of the original: many Spanish-speaking countries write 1.250,00 where English writes 1,250.00, and the translation says so instead of changing the figures. If you need the amounts converted to dollars, ask for it in your order: it is an extra, at the rate of the translation date.
- Abbreviations used by banks, such as SPEI, depósito or cargo, are translated, never left unexplained
- Anything that cannot be read is marked as illegible, never guessed
Where a translated bank statement is used
Visa and immigration applications that ask for proof of funds, university admissions and scholarships, apartment rentals, loans and mortgages, taxes and estate matters often ask for bank statements in English. In your order, tell us where you will submit them, and we deliver the translation in the format that destination asks for. Which documents, how many months and which format are required is decided by the institution that receives them.
Upload the PDF your bank issued or a clear scan of every page, see the price and the deadline right away and pay online. You receive the translation by email as a PDF, and a printed copy by mail if you ask for one. For balance sheets, income statements and other company reports, see our financial statement translation page.

How do I translate a bank statement from Spanish to English?
Upload the PDF your bank issued or a clear scan of every page, tell us where you will submit it and pay online. A native translator translates every transaction line, the amounts stay exactly as issued, a second translator reviews it, and you receive the English translation by email as a PDF.
Do you translate bank statements and convert the currency?
Yes. We translate bank statements, tax returns, pay stubs and other financial documents. By default amounts stay in the original currency. Currency conversion, at the exchange rate of the translation date, is available as an additional service shown in your quote.
Do you translate Spanish from Spain and from Latin America?
Yes. We translate documents from Spain, Mexico and every Spanish-speaking country, to and from English, Portuguese and other languages, and we follow the variant of the country where the translation will be used. Tell us the destination when you order.
Do you translate stamps, seals and parts that are hard to read?
Yes. Stamps and seals are translated too. A part that cannot be read is marked as illegible: we do not make up text for what is not legible.
Do you share my data with third parties?
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your documents are handled confidentially, only by the team working on your order, and are deleted from our system 60 days after delivery.
