Certified Translation in the US

Certified translation is what USCIS, universities and courts in the United States require for documents in another language: a complete translation, with a signed statement that it is faithful to the original. At Roxo, notarization is already included at no extra cost, and the translation is done by human translators and reviewed by a second translator.

Here are the articles and the most common questions on the subject: which documents to translate, how the translation is delivered (as a PDF, with the printed copy by mail when requested) and what changes from one agency to another. Prices start at US$15 per page, and the guarantee is the same for everyone: accepted by USCIS, with unlimited revisions until acceptance.

The certificate of accuracy states that the translation is complete and correct and that the translator is competent to translate, as the USCIS rule requires (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)). Roxo is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA).

It is the destination authority that decides which pages to send: for that question, follow the USCIS instructions or talk to an attorney. The same certified translation is also accepted by universities, courts and the DMV.
