A sworn translation is done by a public sworn translator registered with a Junta Comercial and has public faith, the same legal value as the original, before Brazilian authorities. A regular (simple) translation has no official value and serves for information only. For any official use in Brazil, the sworn translation is the one accepted.

Only a public sworn translator (tradutor público) approved in the public exam and registered with a Brazilian Junta Comercial, for each language of their registration. That is why not every language pair has a sworn translator available. Ours sign with ICP-Brasil digital certificates.

It depends on the language pair, because a sworn translation requires a public translator registered for that language. For pairs without one, we can offer a two-step route: certified translation into English, then sworn translation from English into Portuguese. We confirm before quoting.
